Kids Feeding Kids Cookbook

We are thrilled to announce the Kids Feeding Kids Cookbook being published for release in Fall 2009! This cookbook is a collection of recipes created FOR kids BY kids featuring professional Cookbook Photographer, Ally Gruener. Any child will find numerous recipes in this cookbook that they will enjoy making or at least eating. 100% of the cookbook profits will be donated to the Northern Illinois Food Bank - Youth Nutrition Program which provides food to hungry children in 13 counties in northern Illinois.

We are collecting recipes from any kid who wants to make a difference and help stop hunger. We invite you to submit any recipe or concoction that your child has created. It can be extremely simple or complex. It can be something that only the child finds delicious or is a huge crowd pleaser. If your child doesn’t already have a recipe of their own, give them an opportunity to create one! Let them experiment in the kitchen with different ingredients. They may come up with some unusual and tasty items. The kid's silly and creative recipes add a lot of charm to this book.

Perhaps creating delightful dishes isn't their thing. Then have them submit their favorite family dish in mom's recipe box or a recipe that they enjoy making with mom. Submit a "mom tip" on your child's behalf like lemon juice on apples to prevent browning or freezing grapes to prevent spoiling. The kids LOVE kitchen experiments too, like homemade play-doh, flubber, crystals or bubbles! Get creative! We would love to feature them and their recipe in the Kids Feeding Kids Cookbook.
